YOU AIN'T BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE - UNLESS YOU ARE HEALTHY OF COURSE

First things first “you are beautiful just the way you are” is a lie, a big one.	Innanzitutto le cose importanti “Sei bella come sei” è una bugia, e bella grande.
I hope you all already know that there is a difference between curvy and chubby and there is a difference too between  being naturally thin and never eat carbs to fit in a 38, because I’m not saying all thin girls are anorexic and all curvy girls are obese but if you are too skinny or too curvy there is a good chance you are either underweight or overweight and neither of this two situations is a healthy one.	Mi auguro che già lo sappiate che esiste una bella differenza tra curvy (morbida/burrosa) e paffuta così come tra essere naturalmente magre e non mangiare carboidrati per stare in una 38, perché non sto assolutamente dicendo che tutte le ragazze magre sono anoressiche e tutte quelle rotondette sono obese ma, se siete troppo magroline o troppo paffutelle allora ci sono buone possibilità che siate sottopeso o sovrappeso e nessuna di queste due condizioni è salutare.
If you have a (medically) regular weight, it doesn’t  matter  your shape, color or size: in this case - oh well - you ARE beautiful the way you are.	Se il vostro peso è (clinicamente) sano, non importa quali sono le vostre forme, il colore della vostra pelle o la vostra taglia: in questo caso – allora si – SIETE belle così come siete.
Why am I saying all of this? Because I think that when it comes to beauty contests – like the one I’m going to talk about - the key is to show healthy beautiful girls.	Ma perché vi sto dicendo tutto questo? Perché ritengo che, quando si parla di concorsi di bellezza – come quello di cui vi sto per parlare – la chiave è mostrare ragazze belle e sane.
I’ll explain myself  better: ONLY WHEN IT COMES TO CONTESTS OR SPOTS AND SUCH.I don’t want to watch a 46 (USA12) the same way I don’t want to watch a 36 (USA2) either.	Mi spiego meglio:SOLAMENTE QUANDO SI TRATTA DI CONCORSI, PUBBLICITA' O ROBA DEL GENERE non voglio vedere una 46 (USA 12) tanto quanto non voglio vedere una 36 (USA 2).
This year Miss Italia opened to a new category: curvy (like the Barbie the Mattel placed on the market and the H&M summer campaign and the Vogue cover weren’t enough).	Quest’anno miss Italia ha aperto ad una nuova categoria: curvy (come se la Barbie che la Mattel ha immesso sul mercato, la campagna estiva di H&M e la copertina di Vogue non fossero abbastanza).
I think they made a huge mistake, for real. If you’d only want to pass the message that being too thin is wrong and a more voluptuous woman is beautiful too I’d never disagree but there’s hardly what passed.	Credo che abbiano fatto un grave errore, per davvero. Se avessero voluto far passare il messaggio che essere troppo magre è sbagliato  e che una donna più in carne è comunque bella, non avrei avuto nulla da recriminare ma non è propriamente questo il messaggio che è passato.
They simply opened the contest to chubby woman by creating a new category: curvy.	Hanno banalmente aperto la competizione a donne paffutelle creando una nuova categoria: curvy.
Now, call it the way you like, I don’t care.  YOU put a label on them, a tag saying they are fat.	Adesso, chiamatela come vi pare, non mi interessa. Le avete etichettate, un’etichetta che dice che sono grasse.
First they are hardly fat, they are a tad overweight, second, how do you think to create a category and avoid  a stigma.	Primo, sono tutt'altro che grasse, secondo, come pensate di creare una nuova categoria senza stigmatizzarle?
Nevertheless, as beautiful as they are (and they are indeed), overweight is not an healthy condition thus they are not a model to show in a catwalk or a beauty contest. Same goes for the thin ones, if they are too thin they shouldn’t be there too.	Comunque sia, per belle che possano essere (e certamente lo sono), sovrappeso non è un modello sano e dunque non sono modelli da mostrare su una passerella o in un concorso di bellezza. Stesso dicasi per quelle troppo magre, non dovrebbero parteciparvi nemmeno loro.
If they really want to show a more “puffy” woman (so to change the dominant mentality) they should open the contests to (REAL) 38-40-42 size woman and reject both 36 and below and 46 and above (I don’t think a 44 should be a plus size), NOT create a category for fat people because, at the end of the day, if you create a different section for them, you only drive the idea that a girl a bit more curvaceous is beautiful too more apart.	Se volessero mostrare un modello di donna più “rotondetto” (al fine di mutare la mentalità dominante) dovrebbero aprire il concorso a donne dalle taglie 38-40-42 (VERE) e non ammettere dalla 36 in giù e dalla 46 in su (non ritengo che la 44 dovrebbe essere una taglia forte), NON creare una categoria per grassoccie perché, in fin dei conti, se si crea una sezione differente per loro, si finisce solo con il rendere sempre più alieno il concetto che una ragazza un poco più curvilinea è comunque bella.
So my dear ladies, get in shape not for follow a stupid model but because the only beautiful body is a healthy one.	Quindi ragazze mie, state in forma non per seguire uno stupido modello ma perché l’unico corpo davvero bello è quello sano.
